I will get more information posted here soon including the details of why, with the help of Jane Pierce, I have created this blog. The last 2 weeks (I found out two weeks ago today that I have cancer) have been kind of hectic so I haven't really had the chance to get the information posted but we're working on it.
Here are my appointments:
Wednesday, March 12th, at 6:45PM: MRI of my brain at St. Luke's Quakertown. Let's hope they find something other than cancer. Like a big (not enlarged of course) brain!!!!
Thursday, March 13th, 1:30PM: Sanjiv S. Agarwala, M.D. of St. Luke's Cancer Care Associates at St. Luke's Bethlehem, PA. http://medaffairs.slhn.org/echodir/drstart.asp; http://medaffairs.slhn.org/echodir/drstart.asp

When I initially called Penn's central scheduling this morning to get an appointment with Dr. Alkazy I was told that he probably wasn't excepting new patients however the VERY nice lady (I didn't get her name) at central scheduling gave me the name of his office administrator, Mary Beth Graf (soon to be McGraw as she is getting married in two weeks). I called a couple times and got her voice mail but didn't leave messages as I thought it would be better to talk to her in person. Well, about an hour later I called and she told me that normally it we be a couple of weeks to get an appointment but if I could come in this Friday at 11:15AM the Doctor could see me. You see, about 15 minutes earlier they had had a cancellation and she could get me in. Mary Beth (also my sister's name) is Irish and we discussed the luck of the Irish!!!! See, that Irish Luck is working already!
If anyone has some time to research these guys online and let me know what you come up with it would be greatly appreciated!!!
